FAQs

What should we wear?
My general answer is wear what you are comfortable in. However, I do have a few suggestions. Try to stay away from busy patterns or logos. For family shots, I suggest coordinating colors.
Newborns will be shot naked, in a diaper, and in a blanket, and with multiple props. I will bring accessories such as hats, bows, toys, and baskets. If you have something special you want to use, please bring it.
Brides need to be ready as if it’s the day of the wedding. Don’t forget your bouquet, shoes, and jewelry!
What about wardrobe changes?
For the Mini-Session, there is only time for 1 outfit. However, for other sessions, as long as there is time, you can change 1-2 times. I recommend wearing layers as this is an easy way to change your look.
So for the price of the session, I’m getting the copyrights to the photos? Most photographers don’t do this…why do you?
I have found that photography prices really start to add up when you start adding printing prices, which makes it unaffordable to some. This is why I give you the photos to print as many as you would like.
However, please keep in mind budget and online photo labs do not necessarily offer quality prints and you may not be happy with the results. I offer affordable printing by a lab only professional photographers can use and I highly recommend this option. You can review my printing prices under the Investment tab. My prices are significantly priced under the average photographer’s prints which start at $30 for a 4x6. Prints will be available to you within 2 weeks of placing your order.
Do you offer an online-viewing gallery for my photos?
Not at this time. Because you will be given a CD with high-resolution images, you may upload them to your favorite online photo sharing site to share with friends and family.
Will my photos be used for your advertising purposes?
Yes. I will have you sign a contract which allows me to post your photos to my blog, website, facebook, and other social media outlets for the purpose of promoting my business.
How long will it take to get my photos?
Typically this is 1-2 weeks, depending on the amount of editing involved. Weddings can take up to 3-4 weeks.
